The Organisation
Uplifting Australia is a not-for-profit with DGR -1 status. Our mission is to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of children and families.
Our tested and proven programs and resources are focused on building relationship skills and strong family environments as an early intervention to prevent the chronic problems and challenges faced by Australian youth into their teenage years (and beyond into adulthood).

CEO and the Board of Directors
Location
Sydney. While our office is located in Mullumbimby, Northern NSW, our key stakeholders are based in Sydney so you will be required to work in Sydney from a home office.
Hours of Work
2 days per week (0.4 FTE) ongoing with an initial 6-month trial period.
Hours will comprise a combination of home office administration time as well as time out of office hours spent connecting with stakeholders, networking and attending events.
Remuneration
Annual pay $30,000 inclusive of superannuation ($75K pro rata).
Plus incentives for meeting fundraising targets.

CEO, Board of Directors and Uplifting Australia staff.
External Relationships
Corporate Partners, Trusts and Foundations, Donors, Development networking bodies.
The Role
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for securing and servicing all income through corporate partnerships, grants, private donors and philanthropic sources and ensures the effective servicing and stewardship of those relationships. This includes managing communications with, and reporting to, all supporters. The Fundraising Manager will also provide support to the CEO in assisting with preparation of corporate reporting and acquittals. We are looking for a driven and energetic relationship builder: you will be professional, personable and results orientated, with great attention to detail.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Revenue Generation
- Identify, establish, confirm, develop and nurture support opportunities through private philanthropy, trusts and foundations, as well as corporate sponsorship and government support.
- Generate campaigns and fundraising event opportunities.
- Achieve agreed targets.
- Develop creative strategies to ensure that relationships developed are successfully stewarded and of genuine ongoing value to external supporters.
- Engagement and Stewardship
- Be the first point of contact for all philanthropic supporters.
- Manage all communications with donors, sponsors, foundations and government funders including but not limited to e-bulletins, thank you messages and invitations to activities.
- Reporting and Data Management
- Ensure the timely and accurate receipting of donation receipts including appropriate thank you letters.
- Assist the CEO as required with grant acquittals.
- Undertake all donor data input (into spreadsheets) and ensure accuracy of donation data.
- Interrogate donation data for planning future campaigns.
- Contribute to Board reporting as required.
- Other Duties
- Manage any special fundraising events as appropriate.
- Undertake regular communications with the whole of company, especially ensuring effective transmission of information.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & SELECTION CRITERIA
- Essential Skills
- Previous experience in fundraising (and experience in the social wellbeing sector will be highly regarded);
- Strong interpersonal skills – including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships and to solve problems in an assertive and positive fashion;
- Finely honed networking skills;
- Prospecting and closing skills
- Highly developed written and oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise to juggle competing demands;
- Outstanding attention to detail in data input;
- Proficiency with Microsoft products – Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point;
- Ability to undertake occasional work outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends
