Head of Professional Association

NDS is the national industry association for disability services, representing approximately 1,000 not-for-profit organisations. Collectively, our members operate several thousand services for Australians with all types of disability across Australia. NDS promotes the full inclusion of people with disability and this commitment is outlined in our Disability Action Plan (DAP).

National Disability Practitioners (NDP) is a newly established professional association for the disability workforce. This role represents the opportunity for the right candidate to develop NDP into Australia’s leading professional association for disability practitioners.

In achieving these goals, this position will be responsible for NDP’s strategic direction, providing management and advice in the planning and execution of the strategy.

Key deliverables in the role include:

– Drive growth and expansion of the membership base
– Engender engagement with NDP members
– Design and deliver products and services that add value to NDP members
– Manage the financial and corporate functions of NDP
– Create a range of marketing and multimedia collateral and content
– Establish NDP as financially sustainable enterprise.

To ensure success in this role, you will have proven experience on these areas:

– Success in driving membership development is highly desirable.
– Solid experience in a marketing role working toward revenue targets
– Exceptional relationship management skills
– Ability to demonstrate sales and commercial success
– Knowledge of the linkage between corporate, community and social issues

*Experience in the NFP or disability sectors is not essential
