ADVANCEMENT, THE UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

UQ Advancement comprises of three portfolios – Advancement Services, Development and Philanthropy, and Alumni and Community Relations. The Advancement Services portfolio provides infrastructure and services that support Advancement work across UQ to ensure success in philanthropic and fundraising efforts. Services include management of Raiser’s Edge, UQ’s corporate constituent relationship management application for Advancement activity, and its official register of alumni, donors, and gifts; information management; reporting and data analysis; research and prospect management; management of the University’s philanthropic financial processes; and business operations.

The role: The Manager, Advancement Information Services is responsible for delivering a suite of client-centric information services that support the growing Advancement portfolio in maximising engagement, relationship building and fundraising opportunities, and provide insights that enable data-driven decision-making.

Under the broad direction of the Director, Advancement Services, the Manager, Advancement Information Services will develop and implement a service management framework that is supported by innovative and integrated information systems, and lead the Advancement Information Services team in the delivery of systems management, information management and reporting services. The Manager, Advancement Information Services will work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders within UQ Advancement and across UQ to achieve university-wide objectives in engagement and philanthropy.

The person: Applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications (or progress toward postgraduate qualifications) in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related area, plus extensive relevant experience. You should have demonstrated experience managing CRM systems and data in a complex organisational environmental, preferably higher-education Advancement or the not-for-profit sector; high-level data analysis and reporting skills; proven leadership, team management and project management skills, in a client-focused services environment; strong verbal communication skills, and proven ability to develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with a range of clients and internal stakeholders.

Remuneration: This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $90,108 – $101,179 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $105,426 – $118,379 p.a.).
