Our Mental Health Support Services are a shining example of the work we do, accommodating and supporting over 100 individuals living with a mental illness.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to join our leadership team. They will play a key role in developing the service and refining the support model in order to take it to the next level. The successful candidate will have the ability to balance their skills in operational management with their passion for individual recovery.
Position Description
The role is responsible for developing and sustaining a culture of Recovery within the Mental Health Programs and will contribute to a shared understanding across the organisation. The Manager will lead the Mental Health Services teams to ensure the effective delivery of services as part of the organisation’s contracts with the Mental Health Commission and in line with the Strategic direction of St Bart’s.
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary approaches to working in mental health and of working with recovery processes is required. A proven ability to provide strong leadership and inspire others to innovate and excel in the workplace will be key to succeeding in this role. Passion for involving consumers and families in the delivery and design of services and acknowledging the value of lived experience is essential.
The person must be able to demonstrate capabilities in planning, reporting, budgeting and compliance. along with experience of recruiting, supervision and performance management of teams. A desire for continuous improvement will be required in all aspects of the role.
The successful applicant will possess a relevant tertiary qualification, have experience in a similar role and have high level written and verbal communication skills. They should have experience in the successful tendering of applications and preferably have an understanding of individualised funding models.
