State Library Victoria is the state’s premier reference and research library, the hub of a state-wide information and communications network, and a gateway to the world’s information.
About the Role
An exciting position has opened up in the Public Libraries Division at State Library Victoria for a Project Coordinator to manage a range of high-profile State-wide projects. This fixed-term position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong project management and stakeholder liaison skills.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Project Coordinator will contribute to the delivery of a diverse suite of State-wide Public library Development Projects themed around Read (reading and literacy), Memory (local history) and Lead and Learn (workforce development). These projects are delivered in collaboration with Victorian public libraries.
The successful applicant will have a track record of successfully managing medium sized projects. High level organisation skills are required, including the ability to manage budgets and schedules, prepare project documentation and manage project support staff. The Project Coordinator will chair Workgroup meetings and liaise with senior public library managers, staff and suppliers, so high level written and communication skills are a must. Working in a small team, the successful applicant must also demonstrate the ability to be flexible and agile, and be able to juggle competing priorities and problem solve.
