The organisation
No to Violence & Men’s Referral Service (NTV/MRS) is focused on working with men to address the root causes of men’s violence against women. It is a crucial service delivery organisation that provides a men’s support line and referral service; oversight of behaviour change programs; and training for men’s behaviour change practitioners. NTV/MRS is embarking on a significant phase of growth and transformation, making it an exciting time to join its team
Role summary
Reporting to the Services Manager, you will develop, implement, coordinate and provide high quality training programs throughout Australia in response to men who perpetrate family violence. Working with practitioners and allied representatives in the family violence sector, you will also collaborate with tertiary education providers to enhance the training and development of future practitioners.
You will :
- develop, up-date and co-deliver competency based programs, in partnership with tertiary institutions including Swinburne University of Technology;
- recruit and coordinate trainers and presenters;
- nurture partnerships and strategic alliances with external providers; and
- meet reporting requirements to external stakeholders, the CEO and Board.
Strategically identifying new opportunities to provide innovative training throughout the family violence sector will be a key part of your role.
Experience and skills required
You have a track record of excellence in delivering training in the family violence sector. Experience in working with men’s behaviour change programs will be highly regarded.
An excellent written and verbal communicator, you also possess strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Other key criteria include:
- appropriate tertiary training in Social Work, Counselling or a related field;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher qualification in vocational eduction and training;
- a demonstrated ability to adhere to and implement systems, policies and procedures; and
- the ability to demonstrate engagement with and understanding of issues relevant to engaging men who use family violence.
