We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to join the Museum at a time when it is embarking on a major transformation with planning underway for the Museum’s longer term future in Parramatta. This represents a once in a generation opportunity to develop a twenty first century museum that responds to growth, and the changing shape of Sydney, and to contemporary methods of content delivery, learning and collaboration.

In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with the Head of Development to identify and assess new business ideas and ventures to generate new and develop existing income streams. Specifically, you will research corporate partner prospects, develop proposals, and research, test and develop business ideas for MAAS Parramatta.

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following skills, experience and attributes;

– Relevant tertiary qualifications and comprehensive experience in managing stakeholder and client relationships
– Experience developing effective business plans for new opportunities.
– Highly developed influencing, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
– Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
– Proven success in raising funds from corporate partners and initiating new business ideas.
– Knowledge of current policy and legislation, major trends, leading practice and external influences affecting the cultural sector, fundraising and business development.

Question 1 – Please outline a new business idea that you initiated that resulted in an increase in revenue? What did you do to implement and ensure its success?

Question 2 – Please provide an example of where you have had to build relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
