About the role
The Warnbi Aboriginal Corporation works and operates from Jabiru in the beautiful surrounds of Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory. The Corporation was formed by the local traditional owners and their families to provide essential services and community development to the outstations of Kakadu.
The Corporation is seeking an experienced, energetic and cutting-edge Chief Executive Officer to manage the Corporation with the Board of Directors. The policy environment in Kakadu today provides Warnbi with a unique opportunity to lead a range of exciting and innovative opportunities to address enduring Aboriginal socioeconomic disadvantage.
The role of the CEO will lead in continuing to build long term resilience for the individuals, communities and businesses within Warnbi. The success of the new CEO will be based on coordinating and collaborating within the corporation and community to build an innovative culture than can respond to a rapidly changing environment. Success in this will see the development of a more sustainable economy founded on a strong socio-economic agenda targeting local communities.
You will be a client focused and goal driven leader with senior management experience in change management and demonstrated implementation of innovative social and economic solutions. Supporting this will be the personal commitment and ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people.
An excellent remuneration package, based on experience, is available for the successful candidate. This package includes fully subsidised accommodation, extended private use of vehicle, assistance with relocation and repatriation, and salary sacrificing options.
