The Role
This position will be located within the Clinical Services Team and in conjunction with the Clinical Services Coordinator and the Clinical Services Team Leader, will be responsible for clinical consultancy, mentoring, training and support of Clinical Consultants located within Direct Services Teams and also involved in the development of policies and frameworks relevant to clinical consultancy at STARTTS.
The successful applicant will be part of a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
Skills Required
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Health, Counselling, Behavioural or Social Sciences. You will be registered and recognised as a supervisor/clinical consultant in relevant area of specialisation and possess counselling skills and experience with refugees in a cross cultural setting. You will have demonstrated skills and experience in providing trauma informed clinical consultation/ supervision to staff and interns on placement who work with refugee survivors of torture and trauma.
You will be a highly motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Work Type: 38 hours per week. Contract up to 2 years (continuation subject to ongoing funding)
Location: Auburn/Carramar
Salary: Health Education Officer or a relevant professional award based on qualifications.
