The organisation
No to Violence & Men’s Referral Service (NTV/MRS) is focused on working with men to address the root causes of men’s violence against women. It is a crucial service delivery organisation that provides a men’s support line and referral service; oversight of behaviour change programs; and development of the workforce engaged in men’s behaviour change training. NTV/MRS is embarking on a significant phase of growth and transformation, making it an exciting time to join its executive team.
Role summary
Reporting to the CEO and leading a small team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic and policy direction for NTV/MRS, overseeing stakeholder communications, governance and quality improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- developing and implementing the strategic plan, reflecting NTV/MRS’s priorities and the requirements of the wider family violence sector;
- translating strategy into NTV/MRS’s business plan;
- identifying and developing the priority areas for policy development and providing policy advice and recommendations to the CEO and Board;
- strengthening the governance arrangements for policy, procedural development and minimum standards; and
- overseeing successful delivery of campaign strategies, stakeholder communications and social media.
Experience and skills required
You possess relevant tertiary qualifications (eg Public Policy, Communications, Social Work or similar) and are working in the Human/Social Services sector. You have a sound understanding of issues associated with family violence.
You are able to demonstrate skills in
- strategic management;
- policy development and implementation;
- governance and quality standards; and
- stakeholder management/relationship development;
and have an understanding of communications strategies and tools.
