COORDINARE commissions services, focusing on those most at risk of poor outcomes, rather than providing services directly.
The Role:
COORDINARE is seeking an exceptional professional to work as a member of the Commissioning team, with a passion to contribute to improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Initial priorities include commissioning the new Integrated Team Care arrangements focusing on chronic care coordination, as well as commissioning new Aboriginal-specific initiatives focusing on mental health and drug and alcohol.
The Aboriginal Health Service Development and Performance Manager will work closely with other Service Development and Performance Managers also be responsible for an Integrated Team Care Coordinator.
The Applicant:
We are seeking a person with excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities and the experience to lead the commissioning of primary Aboriginal health initiatives across the South Eastern NSW Primary Health Network catchment.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols, issues and affairs as well as a sound knowledge of Aboriginal health issues in the primary care setting.
Ideally you will have strong working relationships with Aboriginal health providers and communities in the South Eastern NSW PHN region.
Additionally, you will have a current driver’s licence and be willing to travel as part of this role.
