About the role

Working collaboratively as a senior member of Marketing and Engagement, the position develops and drives WWF-Australia’s oceans and wildlife engagement strategies and campaigns to engage and inspire audiences and build the WWF supporter community, to achieve WWF-Australia’s environmental conservation, marketing and fundraising goals.  Critical to this role, is leveraging social research and expert input from WWF’s Conservation subject matter experts, and translating complex environmental conservation issues into clear and compelling narratives to achieve lead generation, reach, engagement and influence targets.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • A track record in planning and delivering engagement/marketing campaigns against outcomes, preferably relating to oceans or wildlife conservation. 
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Excellent written, editing and visual communication skills with an ability to translate technical content into engaging material.
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills within a cross cultural context.
  • Knowledge of public engagement and social marketing strategy, theory, best practice and innovation – ideally relating to behaviour change or social causes. 
  • Ability to identify opportunities and make connections that deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Proficient in social media, CRMs and/or marketing automation platforms, digital analytics. 

Ideally you will also have advocacy experience in relevant environmental conservation issues with an understanding of not for profit fundraising.
