Customer Reference Group – Chairperson

We are seeking an experienced group facilitator for a unique role as chairperson of a pilot Customer Reference Group. This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in shaping the future Scope services; it will suit somebody with excellent people skills and a passion for human rights.
This role is open to anybody who identifies as having a disability. People who use alternative or augmented communication methods are encouraged to apply.

About the Role:
This role is responsible for the facilitation and management of a new Customer Reference Group (CRG) for Scope customers.

In this role you will:
• Chair CRG meetings, with a specific focus on supporting the participation of members with a diverse range of communication systems and styles.

• Establish mechanisms (formal and informal) for the CRG to engage with Scope customers and seek feedback, advice and input on a range of matters related to Scope’s services.

About you:
We are looking for someone with energy, integrity and passion who identifies as having a disability.

You will have:
• Experience in leading teams, with the ability respond appropriately to group dynamics

• The ability to synthesise and analyse information from diverse sources

• A well developed understanding of Scope and the sector in which Scope operates, including the ongoing rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a Working with Children Check and a Police Check issued in the last 12 months for employment in disability.
