About the role

  • Co-ordinate ‘significant gift’ applications, governance, finance and acquittal processes for the Monash Health Foundation;
  • Develop and manage the Monash Health Foundation Community Partnership program;
  • Develop and manage the Monash Health Foundation Corporate Partnership program;
  • Contribute to Major Donor research and stewardship;
  • Manage Trust and Foundation relationships and application processes; and
  • Assist in the development of innovative systems and procedures to effectively manage significant gifts within Monash Health Foundation.

 

About your environment

Monash Health is an impressive organisation of six public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide health care for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care, and all stages in between. We are world leaders looking after a wonderfully diverse patient population in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Each year within our catchment of 1.392 million people, more than 16,000 staff across more than 40 sites deliver 3.1 million episodes of care. We work together to admit 238,000 hospital patients, respond to 206,000 emergency presentations, deliver care through 375 outpatient clinics and bring 9,400 babies into the world.

 
About your opportunity

The role of the Fundraising Partner is to focus on significant gifts across a range of portfolios including major donors, corporate, community groups and trust and foundations. This position will align key and urgent funding needs of the hospital with targeted funding bodies. Working with the Foundation Team, this role will be instrumental to the advancement of philanthropy within Monash Health and help to shape fundraising strategy.

Above all else we are looking for:

  • An optimistic, adaptable and enthusiastic team player who wants to take Monash Health Foundation to the next level;
  • A proven major gifts fundraiser;
  • An experienced fundraiser who understands the Trust and Foundation sector and application processes;
  • An individual who is comfortable in a busy work environment and confident prioritising competing deadlines; and
  • Someone that can comprehend complex health topics and translate these into detailed fundraising messages.

 

More specifically we are looking for a professional with:

  • Relevant qualifications in fundraising, marketing and health;
  • Proven ability writing, submitting and managing significant funding applications; and
  • Outstanding relationship skills.

 

Experience in the health sector and consulting will be advantageous.

What we offer you

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • The position provides a salary within the range $80,000 – $90,000 per annum dependent on experience plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging with optional meal entertainment card.
