The Role
NAISDA – Australia’s premier Indigenous training college is seeking an experienced Head of Fundraising to join their busy and experienced team of professionals.
The newly created role will drive, devise and implement a successful programme of fundraising activities in line with NAISDA’S strategy and vision to further enhance NAISDA’s position in the education and cultural landscape of Australia.
This role requires a highly energetic individual with a strong and mature business acumen who is seeking to be part of a meaningful organisation where they can genuinely make a difference.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous demonstrated experience in a similar position
- A relevant degree in Marketing or Business
- Track record of working or commitment to the arts, education or philanthropic sector
- Knowledge and experience of marketing and campaign development
- Proven ability to manage and develop new and existing relationships and pitching for and winning new fundraising opportunities
- Ability to inspire sponsors
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Experience and knowledge in CRM systems
- Strong project management skills
- High standard of presentation development and delivery
- Superior communication skills
- Team player – ability to get in and help team members
- Desire to be part of a meaningful organisation
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector (desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
This role will require a Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment with NAISDA Dance College.
