The Role
NAISDA – Australia’s premier Indigenous training college is seeking an experienced Head of Fundraising to join their busy and experienced team of professionals.
The newly created role will drive, devise and implement a successful programme of fundraising activities in line with NAISDA’S strategy and vision to further enhance NAISDA’s position in the education and cultural landscape of Australia.

This role requires a highly energetic individual with a strong and mature business acumen who is seeking to be part of a meaningful organisation where they can genuinely make a difference.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • A relevant degree in Marketing or Business
  • Track record of working or commitment to the arts, education or philanthropic sector
  • Knowledge and experience of marketing and campaign development
  • Proven ability to manage and develop new and existing relationships and pitching for and winning new fundraising opportunities
  • Ability to inspire sponsors
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Experience and knowledge in CRM systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • High standard of presentation development and delivery
  • Superior communication skills
  • Team player – ability to get in and help team members
  • Desire to be part of a meaningful organisation
  • Experience within the not-for-profit sector (desirable)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

 

This role will require a Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment with NAISDA Dance College.
This opportunity reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is a pivotal role in the leadership team within NAISDA Dance College. If you are seeking personal satisfaction and want to make a real difference, this may the role for you.
