HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia and aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and older persons’ mental health. Regarded nationally and internationally as one of Australia’s most innovative health and aged care providers, HammondCare offers sub-acute services, residential care and community services.

HammondCare is passionate about improving quality of life for people in need and has a particular commitment to dementia care and palliative care as well as to people who are financially disadvantaged.

Our latest project in planning is our first aged care residential home specifically for our most vulnerable – the elderly who are homeless in inner Sydney. This exciting project will be a focus for the Major Gift Manager.

More about the role

HammondCare are set to significantly expand their fundraising with several exciting capital campaigns in the planning. To enable our growth we are creating a new role of Major Gift Manager. This is a great opportunity to be a part of something new and make a real difference.

The Major Gift Manager’s goal is to acquire new Major Donors and to build meaningful and fruitful long term partnerships between HammondCare and Major Gift donors to achieve fundraising targets. Key in this role is leveraging these same relationships to grow networks and raise the profile of the HammondCare brand.

 

About you

  • You will have a strong commitment to working within our Mission, Vision and Christian Values.
  • You will have a depth of experience in Major Gift fundraising including Major Donor acquisition
  • You have experience in capital campaigns
  • You are highly relational and a skilled networker
  • You have a proven track record in exceeding financial targets
  • You are tenacious, results oriented, with strong attention to follow through
  • You have excellent communications skills verbal and written
  • You have highly developed oral presentation skills with the ability to communicate with influence and build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • You can demonstrate an ability to think strategically and creatively
  • You are tertiary qualified, ideally with a major in Marketing or Business, or equivalent combination of training and experience
