Position Overview

The Community Services Industry Alliance is seeking a full-time Project Officer on a fixed-term contract responsible for the implementation of a project to build an evidence base to inform an industry development approach in the child and family support sector.

This is a joint project between Community Services Industry Alliance and the Queensland Family and Child Commission.

Reporting to the Industry Development Manager, the role will include a range of tasks and activities focusing on:

  • Engagement with key industry stakeholders
  • Plan and implement a series of workshops and 1:1 interviews
  • Conduct qualitative research on industry development priorities
  • Support the project team and Steering Group in the conduct of the project

 

Skills and Experience

Applicants should have a strong understanding of the business and sustainability issues facing community service organisations, including some of the organisational challenges created by recent reforms. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in qualitative research
  • Strong communication and industry engagement skills
  • Experience in planning, promoting and delivering events
  • Sound project management, administration and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
