About the role

  • Implement and enhance mental health service models focused on consumer recovery
  • Build on strong relationships already established with strategic partners
  • Three year contract based at Aspley, option for home garaging of company vehicle

This is an exciting career opportunity for a professional who combines strong team and change management capabilities with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Above award remuneration will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

The Area Manager is responsible for delivering health outcomes for clients and:

  • Leading and facilitating change driven by the NDIS and ongoing changes to funding arrangements
  • Managing multiple mental health teams and programs
  • Negotiating with clients, service partners and other stakeholders
  • Building on and nurturing effective working relationships with service partners
  • Analysing local service performance and facilitating service improvements

 

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • high level change management and leadership skills
  • proven experience managing teams to deliver programs against funding and contractual requirements
  • exceptional networking, relationship building and partnership skills
  • strong values alignment with an organisation which genuinely values people, both staff and clients
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • an understanding of evidence-based recovery practice and service responses in mental health or the capacity to quickly gain this knowledge after working in a related field
  • relevant degree qualifications are essential.
