The Role: As the Coordinator you are responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals in the provision of support services for women and women with children who have experienced or are experiencing family violence and homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness.

As a face of WAYSS in Frankston, this role provides exciting challenges in the context of changes to the community response to family violence underpinned by the recommendations of the Royal Commission. Engagement with a range of support agencies, the police, government agencies, and WAYSS programs together with effective leadership of your team will be critical in delivering services and support to clients.

You will be leading a team of e staff across programs for Family Violence Outreach, Children’s Program (which includes animal assisted therapy), Women’s Outreach Program and Client Intake, Assessment and Referral.

About You: To be successful in this role you will have;
• Experience in leading a team across a diverse range of programs,
• Demonstrated knowledge of the issues and responses for women and children who have experienced or are experiencing family violence and who are homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
• Experienced in the provision of services in a case management framework
• Experienced in interacting with the police and the justice system in the context of family violence
• Demonstrated capacity to implement change, work autonomously and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven capacity to develop effective working relationships with your staff, colleagues, clients, service providers and other relevant stakeholders.
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• A current Victorian driver licence and Working with Children Check card are required.

Your Terms and Conditions are subject to the WAYSS enterprise agreement which includes five weeks annual leave and a generous salary packing option. The role will have access to a company allocated vehicle. Salary is subject to qualifications and experience.
