The organisation

Our client is an organisation that provides family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment & support. The beneficiaries include children, teenagers, parents & carers. 

The role

The Senior Manager Relationship Fundraising reports to the Head of Fundraising and purpose is to lead a team of five direct and four indirect reports from events & partnerships both corporate & individual to achieve $7 million annually. Duties and responsibilities include:

People Management: Recruit, coach & motivate staff to achieve success
Strategic Development: In consultation develop & implement 3 year strategic growth & operational plans for major gifts, trusts & foundations, corporate & events
Relationship Development: Develop & maintain effective relationships with partners, donors, suppliers & within the team ensuring budgets & KPI’s are achieved
Events:  Oversee strategic development of the events program covering, revenue growth, marketing & operational aspects of event management
Making the ask: Develop compelling fundraising propositions for corporate partners, foundations & individuals & to make ‘the ask’
Operational Management: Develop, manage, track & report on monthly & annual income & expenditure budgets

Skills required 

Seven years experience as an effective fundraiser
Successful track record in leading high performing fundraising teams
Demonstrated success in developing & implementing strategic program plans & events
Proven track record in making “the ask” & proactive sales
Ability to write compelling fundraising proposals
Proven stakeholder management across all levels
Proven ability to develop budgets, recruit, retain, coach and supervise teams
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, particularly influencing & negotiation
