Kairos Prison Ministry Australia (KPMA) is an interdenominational Christian ministry reaching out to incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them; to bring sustainable meaning and hope in the place of loneliness, isolation and despair.

 

This work is accomplished through four distinct yet interdependent programs which are; Kairos Inside, Kairos Outside for Women, Kairos Outside for Men and Kairos Torch.

 

Around Australia, Kairos is operating in over 20 correctional centers, Kairos Outside in over 11 regions and Kairos Torch in 2 juvenile facilities. Kairos Australia is in a growth phase with regional committees in all States and Territories planning and negotiating new opportunities. KPMA is a not for profit organisation which consists of 2 paid staff, a Board of Directors (unpaid) and a base of approximately 3000 volunteers, guided by State and Regional councils.

About the role

An outstanding opportunity has presented itself for a dynamic and effective ‘hands-on’ leader to lead the ministry into the future.

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will build upon the organisation’s success, together with our dedicated volunteer base. The organisation is strongly reliant on fundraising programs; therefore, the CEO will ensure the continued sustainability of Kairos through strong financial and revenue generation leadership in concert with the Board’s Finance Committee and the Regional Committee fundraising staff. The position is based in our office in Hornsby, NSW.

  • Government relationship management
  • Leadership and Management
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Actively Promote Fund Raising
