The Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for the delivery of data analysis, reports and dashboards to support the Division of Philanthropy fundraising & engagement goals. Applying high level analytical skills, the Manager, Data Analytics will work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs in support of philanthropy, and provide expert advice and project management for business intelligence activities.
The successful applicant will:
- Design and develop a suite of dashboards and reports to support the goals of UNSW Philanthropy, including development of self-service reporting
- Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Information & Analytics, design and implement data models for UNSW Philanthropy, working closely with prospect research, development, alumni and annual appeal
- Working with the Prospect Development team, develop pro-active prospecting methodologies to support organisational goals, including data-mining, complex constituent database queries, and identification of giving patterns.
- Lead complex projects with various stakeholders, dependencies and priorities
- Provide insights to management based on reporting and statistical data
- Provide education and training sessions on analytics projects and reporting
About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:
- A tertiary degree with substantial relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence development
- Demonstrated experience as a data analyst in the higher education sector or not for profit environment
- Proficiency in data modelling, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work and produce results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level organisational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple requests in a deadline driven environment
- A genuine interest in philanthropy and its impact on society
