‘Tipping the Scales’

A project Funded by the Victorian Legal Services Board

 

Are you a mature and dynamic project worker or lawyer, passionate about social justice and want to work in one of Victoria’s most culturally vibrant and beautiful regional areas?

 

The Bendigo based Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre (a division of Advocacy & Rights Centre Ltd, T/A – ARC Justice) delivers a range of legal assistance services (casework, education and policy) across North and Central Victoria, including the Goulburn Valley.

 

The incumbent will work alongside a designated lawyer and in collaboration with community to deliver the “Tipping the Scales” Project.  Using community development principles they will work with community and project partners to develop, co-ordinate, support and deliver the project aims, deliverables and common agenda.  The incumbent will work collaboratively with the project lawyer in developing and leading the three year project including project design, management, evaluation, collaboration, co-ordination, community legal education, policy work and evaluation.

 

The principle project partner in the “Tipping the Scales” Project is the Go Goldfields Alliance and particularly their Family Violence Action Group and Expert Reference Group made up of women with lived experience of family violence.  More information including the Go Goldfields Family Violence Action Plan can be found here and on request http://gogoldfields.org/family-violence/ .
