About the role

Participate Australia is a dynamic disability support organisation. We are looking to appoint a senior coordinator for NDIS supports on a 12-month full time contract.

The Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Support, you will support participants, their family and carers in identifying and connecting with appropriate providers of supports with a view to overcoming barriers, developing skills and achieving the objectives of their NDIS Plan.

Your primary role will be to:
 assist participants in successfully coordinating their support needs and in achieving objectives of their NDIS plan;
 complete support coordination within agreed timeline;
 provide advice to participants and their carers on the evolving environment of the NDIS;
 set up a structured approach to support coordination, including a repository of relevant resources;
 research and identify providers and other relevant stakeholders and build strong working relationships;
 prepare reports, monitor expenditure and complete all associated administrative work.

We are seeking a candidate with:
 minimum of three years’ experience in the coordination of disability supports (e.g. local area coordination, Ability Links, front-line coordination etc.), ideally in an NDIS environment, or lived experience in disability;
 ability to read and understand support plans, or develop a support plan where it is missing;
 ability to research autonomously and experience in information gathering and networking ;
 demonstrated proficiency in the use of the MS Office suite;
 demonstrated experience in maintaining records and written reports.
