About the Role

We seek an experienced Tenders, Compliance and Special Projects Manager to join our community based organisation to develop and manage funding opportunities and related compliance obligations within the corporate, government and community sector.

Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, this role will be responsible for the development of funding and tender applications as well as ongoing compliance obligations. This role contributes significantly to organisational growth, innovation, and continuation of WHOS leadership status in the drug and alcohol community sector.

In relation to contracts this position is accountable for the ongoing development and management of contracts established to deliver outcomes that effectively meet governmental objectives and related requirements. This includes the ongoing development and maintenance of a compliance register with all contract related compliance obligations and related KPIs and the coordination of external reporting to funding bodies. This position will work closely with WHOS service managers and data collection staff in the collection of KPIs for reporting purposes.

From time to time this role will be expected to work with the Executive Director on special projects.


-Recognised tertiary qualifications in business administration, project management or other relevant discipline.
-Proven track record of developing new and successful funding tenders/submissions.
-Knowledge and/or experience with Government(s) procurement and tender processes.
-Demonstrated budgeting skills and the capacity to interpret financial and output/outcome performance data.
-Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, determine priorities, take initiative and work independently.
-Demonstrated experience in preparing key publications, presentations and reports including Annual Reports, grant applications, and tender submissions.
-Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skill, including the ability to influence and negotiate with a range of diverse stakeholders.
-Experience in the community services sector or non for profit organisations (desirable).

WHOS offers a wide range of treatment and support services for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with AOD dependence. Our programs are based on the Therapeutic Community (TC) model of care. We currently have services located in Sydney, the Hunter Valley and on the Sunshine Coast (Qld).
