Director Fundraising – Victoria

The Role

As a member of the Victorian leadership team the primary focus of the role is to enhance the awareness, reputation and relevance of the Heart Foundation through the integration of the national revenue and brand activities into the Victorian market.

Leading the high-performance, relationship building fundraising team in Victoria you will be responsible for the tactical delivery of the current strategy including regular giving, trust and foundations, community, corporates, major donors and bequests. You will take a lead on identifying and developing philanthropic relationships raising significant financial support.

Overall you will focus on;

• Growing and diversifying the revenue of the Victorian program
• Analysing and improving the current program with a focus on donor relations and engagement
• Increasing big gifts through philanthropic, trust/foundations and corporate support
• Contributing to the national fundraising direction and strategy

Skills Required

You have a track record in managing a similarly complex, growing fundraising operation. You have a deep understanding and appreciation of best practice fundraising, including direct marketing, major donors and bequests along with highly developed financial and team management skills.

You are also an experienced relationship fundraiser with your skills honed in a national or global organisation and well connected into the world of Melbourne philanthropy.
