The Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF) is committed to identifying the root causes of disadvantage and implementing strategic solutions to create systemic, sustainable change in Australian communities. Established as a private ancillary fund by the late Paul Ramsay, the Foundation is in a growth phase and is looking to significantly deepen its strategies across both health and education. With a commitment to strategic, innovative and evidence based grant making, the Foundation will look to forge long term, collaborative partnerships with peers, and fund scalable projects to grow capacity and enable lasting change.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual to contribute to the strategic direction of one of Australia’s most significant private foundations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a giving strategy for the Foundation’s Health program, assisting in setting objectives for the program, identifying and developing investment opportunities, and building relationships with key stakeholders including thought leaders, researchers and organisations delivering services. You will have a solid track record and understanding of systems change and a commitment to the development of collaborative partnerships to implement evidence-based, sustainable solutions.

You will be as capable working at a very high level influencing strategy and developing key relationships, as you are at a detailed level conducting and synthesising research (both internal and external), due diligence and impact measurement. As this is a relatively new organisation, you will recognise the need for the organisation and the individuals within it to grow, evolve and adapt to opportunities.

You will have an understanding of organisations currently delivering social impact across health and disadvantage, and the role of Government, as well as a level of curiosity that will expose the Foundation to new ideas, opportunities and partnerships to ensure continued and significant impact is achieved across these areas. You will have knowledge of, and commitment to, the not for profit and philanthropic landscape in Australia, as well as an interest in international trends and themes.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a person with significant leadership experience in the health sector, looking to contribute to social impact. Reporting to the CEO, you will be capable of working autonomously, efficiently and diplomatically, but also be comfortable working as part of a small, committed team.

This role is ideally full time and is based in St. Leonards and may require some local travel and after-hours networking.
