National Media and Communications Manager

About the role
The role of the Media & Communications Manager is to position and amplify the work of Anglicare Australia and its many member organisations in the wider community, and build on their capacity to work together. It offers the right person an exceptional opportunity to make a difference to Australia’s public policy and debate, and would suit an energetic and enthusiastic person fairly early in their career with high level practical and strategic thinking skills.

Specifically, the National Media & Communications Manager provides strategic communications planning and media advice and produces key materials to support that communication within the Anglicare Australia network and in the public space. She or he plays a key role in facilitating awareness and discussion of relevant news and information across the Anglicare network, and actively contributes to the development and delivery of Anglicare Australia’s advocacy, media and communication products, and project manages elements of our key events.

The National Media & Communications Manager reports to the Deputy Director.

Conditions of employment
– The duty statement for the position is available on the Anglicare Australia website.
– The position is offered full-time. Ongoing employment is subject to a satisfactory 3-month probationary period.
– Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant in the range of $70,000 – $80,000 (plus superannuation and access to PBI benefits; maximum potential package $96,000).
– The role is currently based in Ainslie, ACT, although some remote work could be considered. Occasional interstate travel may be required.
