About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Relationship Development Manager to join our Client Services team in our Chatswood office. The successful candidate will be essential in leading the development and implementation of strategy to increase referrals to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT services and to increase community awareness of the rights and needs of people with vision impairment. As the Relationship Development Manager you will be responsible for managing the Development team, to effectively raise awareness and influence the referral generation behaviour of health professionals.

Reporting to the Service Development Manager, the essential functions and responsibilities to be performed in the Relationship Development Manager position include:

• Develop strategies to identify and influence key community, industry, government, health professional and other referral groups;
• Build staff skills in developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and developing strategies and materials to deliver key company messages in order to influence behaviour;
• Provide effective leadership and support to the Development team;
• Contribute to the annual operational plans, activity schedules and budgets;
• Report on and evaluate the impact of awareness and referral generating activities to ensure objectives are met;
• Contribute to the development of performance monitoring indicators to measure progress against key outcomes and key performance indicators; and
• Continually enhance networks with government, agencies and external service providers.

To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate:

• Proven experience developing social marketing/behaviour change strategy in the health, disability or non-for-profit sector;
• Strong ability to lead and mentor a team involved in social marketing with a focus on awareness and/or referral generation activities;
• Outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent presentation and communication skills;
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise sensitively and effectively with clients, families and other stakeholders;
• Aptitude in managing resources including setting and monitoring budgets, and KPIs; and
• Excellent planning, coordination and administrative skills.
