About the role

Award winning Tier 1 community housing provider
Inner city, Redfern location
35 hours per week and flexible working arrangements
Work with tenants to deliver tenant participation initiatives

Bridge Housing is looking for a driven individual with a passion for working with people to assist the Sustainable and Communities Manager in the development and implementation of Bridge Housing’s community building and engagement strategies.

Selection Criteria

You will be responsible for:

Working with tenants and their families to engage them in planning and delivery of our services
Administering Tenant Advisory Groups
Engaging tenants in our community garden program
Developing young tenants engagement strategies
Coordinating community events and activities
Producing the Tenants Newsletters and using social media
Keeping up to date with research and sector knowledge.

You will need to have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in the social sciences/humanities/arts
Significant proven experience working with community groups and organisations
Demonstrated project management and event experience, including budget management
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people
Experience in using social media
Driver’s License.

To be successful in this role, you must have a robust knowledge of and experience in community engagement and, ideally, an understanding of the community housing sector.
