The Theatre Royal Management Board operates the Theatre in trust for our state and nation – a privilege we take very seriously. In carefully managing this asset and mindful of its unique role in the community, we aim to build on the past to deliver a vibrant contemporary centre for the performing arts.

Organisational Context

The Theatre Royal is a small-medium sized arts organisation governed by the Theatre Royal Management Board. The business is led by the Chief Executive and management team. As part of its Strategic Plan, Theatre Royal is committed to diversifying its revenue and increasing the level of income contributed as donations (mainly through its Applause program) and corporate partnerships. Theatre Royal aims to build a culture of philanthropy and to increase revenue from donors. Aligned with the opportunities presented by the development, by the University of Tasmania, of the Hedberg complex adjoining the Theatre Royal, the Capital Campaign will be the focus of Theatre Royal’s fundraising efforts for the next three years.

About the role

Capital Campaign Manager

Hobart’s Theatre Royal is growing. We’re looking to recruit an experienced fundraising professional to develop and manage our capital fundraising campaign. As Capital Campaign Manager you will work with senior management and the Theatre Royal Board to develop the strategy implement the campaign.
