Ralac is a not-for-profit community based organisation providing aged care and affordable community housing across three locations. Originally established by the Lions Club, ralac is managed by an independent Board of Management, the members of which are drawn from the community. In providing these services we give priority to those in greatest need.
The Chief Executive Officer reports to a Board of Management and is responsible for all operational policies and practices of ralac and to provide advice and support to the Board which will assist in the development and implementation of ralac’s strategic direction.
The role demands a high level of professional knowledge, proven administration skills, and a capacity to establish and maintain sound relationships with representatives from within and outside the ralac community. In order to ensure a comprehensive service, the CEO would be aware of the activities of outside services and integrate them where possible. Above all, the Chief Executive Officer must be compassionate, be focused on ralac’s Mission and Philosophy, and be committed to the role.
Tertiary qualifications in post graduate business studies is highly desirable and an understanding of the aged care industry is essential.
