Mallee Family Care is an Incorporated Association with an elected community based Board of Management. It was established in 1979 and is a large and diverse community service organisation, providing a wide range of services to the communities of North West Victoria and South West New South Wales. Day-to-day management for the agency is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Director, Director Corporate Services, and Director Client Services. This structure has been designed to ensure a clear focus on the delivery of services and to utilise the skills and experience of staff in the most efficient and effective manner

About the role

The Director Client Services will be responsible for the leadership, oversight and coordination of the following diverse range of State and Commonwealth funded Directorates:
• Family Services
• Southern Mallee
• Mental Health and Disability Services
• Community Services

This position will be responsible for the direct support and supervision of the following General Mangers:
• Mental Health and Disability Services
• Southern Mallee
• Family Services Victoria and NSW
• Community Services

The Director Client Services will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Director Corporate Services, known as the Executive Committee.

The Director Client Services is accountable for leading strategic and operational client services including service planning, continuous improvement, all relevant legislative and contractual compliance, appropriate partnership management and the provision of client services advice to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key skills we are looking for:
• Demonstrated ability and competence in leadership and management of a complex service delivery system and staffing structure.
• Display a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity, and maintain the confidence of the Chief Executive Officer.
• Demonstrated ability to write complex, fit-for-purpose documents including funding submissions and service reporting.
• An understanding of contemporary community sector and service delivery issues and how these may impact on the community and the Agency.
