About the organisation
Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVic) is the peak body and leading policy advocate on young people’s issues in Victoria. Members of YACVic comprise of young people, as well as individuals and organisations who work closely with young people. The purpose of YACVic is to raise awareness of issues of concern to young people in Victoria and to achieve a more equitable distribution of power and resources to young people.
About the role
A visionary CEO is sought to lead this dynamic organisation, implement the strategic direction and manage high level external stakeholder relationships, including the three levels of government.
You’ll have an external focus, promoting and raising awareness about the organisation and its key priorities with relevant stakeholders and the media. You’ll add value by strengthening existing networks within the Youth Affairs sector.
From a leadership perspective, you’ll provide inspiration to a diverse and vibrant team, establishing and communicating a shared vision across the organisation. As CEO, you’ll drive performance and growth whilst ensuring accountability to YACVic’s members and key stakeholders.
Delivering innovative solutions to complex issues requires a high level of analytical and communication skills. Experience in leading a membership organisation and a demonstrated understanding of advocacy in a complex policy environment is desirable.
