My Gateway’s client, Settlement Services International is seeking a Human Resources Trainee for their Ashfield premises.

About the Role
This is a full-time position where you can complete a Nationally Recognised Qualification while being paid.

The People and Culture (PaC) team support the life cycle of employees from Recruitment through to Employee Services, Organisational Development and Workplace Health and Safety. The PaC team provide technical advice and support to employees and leaders.

The successful trainee will be an integral part of the team, working on a rotation with Recruitment, Employee Services and Organisational Development. Working across all three areas; you will gain experience and exposure across a range of Human Resources practices and processes that will broaden your understanding of a People and Culture function.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Downloading job applications, creating interview packs, setting up interview rooms and sending out unsuccessful emails.
• Answering/transferring calls.
• Conducting various employment checks.
• Assisting with coordination and set up for training events across different venues.
• Liaise with internal and external trainers and facilitators with respect to their administrative needs, including booking of rooms.
• Format, print and distribute training materials, certificates and other resources.
• Assist with the development, review and interpretation of PaC policies.
• Create new starter contracts.

The successful candidate will have:
• Ability to be flexible.
• Ability to deal with change.
• Knowledge, interest and/or experience working with people with disability.
• Knowledge, interest and/or experience working with people from CALD communities.

All successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check
