An exciting full-time opportunity exists for a highly-skilled professional to join the Reach team, in our Melbourne office. The vision of The Reach Foundation is that every young person has the support and self belief they need to fulfil their potential and dare to dream. Co-founded by Jim Stynes and Paul Currie, their legacy endures through creative and edgy programs delivered for young people by the young Reach Crew, keeping it relevant and real.

Each year over 30,000 young people aged 10-18 experience Reach through our youth-led workshops – designed and delivered by our young crew. Our workshops are safe and supportive spaces where teenagers can share stories and experiences honestly, improve their self-awareness, and build deeper more meaningful connections.

About the role

We are seeking a qualified, experienced and passionate professional who will embrace and engage with the essence of Reach as a key member of the Programs team. The Programs team is responsible for the management of all Reach program activity and the Manager, Education Programs (VIC) is responsible for the management of program delivery for the portfolio of education programs. This includes relationship management with education stakeholders, management of crew and facilitators and the coordination of the design, delivery and review of education program activity.

Some of the key selection criteria for this role are (see attached position description for full details):

  1. Strongly preferred: Tertiary qualification in Education; otherwise in Business, Marketing or Administration or equivalent professional experience, preferably in an education or community setting
  2. Preferred: Prior experience in a selling role with associated targets
  3. Strong knowledge of the Australian education sector, especially in relation to curriculum and student wellbeing
  4. Exceptional administration and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  5. Ability to develop, manage and implement program plans
  6. Great relationship building with young people
  7. Strong educational stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation
  8. Strong organisational and time management skills, initiative and the ability to successfully manage competing interests to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes
  9. Ability to work with database systems and Excel spreadsheets.
