About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the primary objective of this position is to oversee the delivery of services provided by Coordinators and frontline staff within the Aged Services Team. The role will ensure the efficient provision of services to LiveBetter’s customers and key stakeholders; ensuring service compliance, continuous quality improvement and key deliverables are achieved. This includes accountability for the relevant service budget, coordination and support of Aged Services team, building external relationships and maintaining a positive image and reputation within the community. Core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Coordinate and monitor the operational policies, procedures and guidelines of programs.
  • Implement and maintain administrative systems, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with recruitment processes and provide ongoing training.
  • In collaboration with the Regional Manager, ensure acquittals, performance reporting, quotes and reports are completed; monitor grants and income revenue.
  • Provide expert advice to and ongoing supervision, guidance and support of Coordinators and frontline staff.
  • Regularly monitor, review and evaluate service performance in accordance with relevant standards, program targets and budget.
  • Develop, implement and maintain service procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to promotional activities of the programs in the community.
  • Contribute to extending the scope of services provided by Aged Services.
  • Provide regular operational and service performance reports to the Regional Manager.

  • Relevant industry qualifications and/or demonstrated experience coordinating programs that support community based services with a particular focus on aged people.
  • Demonstrated financial skills with the ability to coordinate budgets and understand acquittals.
  • Sound planning skills along with well-developed problem solving skills and ability to resolve critical risks and issues.
  • Experience operating within a high-volume environment along with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of service users.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability allowing you to lead, empower, motivate, coach and mentor a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills along with the ability to negotiate.
  • Ability to use initiative, think laterally and strategically, to meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure.
  • Current driver’s licence.

It would also be a bonus if you have experience in:

  • Meeting rigorous external compliance requirements.
  • Operating within a Quality Management System.
  • A supervisory role within community based aged care services and/or community services in regional and rural communities.

You will also be required to:

  • Undertake and pass a National Criminal Check.
  • Undertake and pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening).
  • Obtain a Blue Card.
