The Opportunity

The Manager Growth & Partnerships is responsible for identifying and activating opportunities for FMC to grow our funding base and explore new channels for delivering FMC’s highly regarded psychological and mediation services. The appointee will bring ideas, imagination and a passion for chasing new opportunities for business growth, particularly from government and philanthropic funders.

The appointee will work closely with the Executive Manager of Brand, Digital and Corporate Communication in the implementation of business development activities with a focus on seeking out new opportunities for business growth. Specific work tasks include:

– Developing and executing a grant development plan

– Sourcing and evaluating grant opportunities

– Conducting research to identify potential funders in new and existing markets

– Identifying, targeting and developing business relationships that are aligned to the growth of the organisation

– Reporting on new business, expanded activities and business prospects.

To be considered for appointment to this role, prospective candidates will require tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Marketing or similar and/or equivalent relevant experience. Previous experience in the preparation and implementation of a business development strategy aligned to the growth agenda of an organisation is essential as is demonstrable experience in leveraging the value of relationships and partnerships to drive revenue and increase business. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in grant writing and a proven ability to complete funding applications. Naturally, the appointee will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills; excellent tender writing skills and persuasive writing expertise and highly developed relationship management and networking skills. Sector knowledge gained across family, aged and/or support services particularly in relation to policy, funding and reform would be a distinct advantage.

This position is based at our Moorabbin Head Office (next to the Moorabbin train station) and would appeal to candidates with ideas, imagination and passion for pursuing new opportunities to enable business growth from government and philanthropic funders.
