The North East PCP is a voluntary alliance of service providers in north east metropolitan Melbourne operating within the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin and Nillumbik. The Primary Care Partnership Strategy is a Victorian Government initiative to strengthen relationships, improve service coordination, integrate health promotion activities and reduce the preventable use of hospital services.

Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Banyule Community Health-North East Primary Care Partnership (NEPCP) to ensure the continued successful implementation of the ReSPIN Gambling Awareness Speakers Bureau. The ReSPIN Project Coordinator (Policy and Evaluation) implements our current funding agreement, with a focus on planning and evaluation of the project, and the development of policies and procedures. We are seeking a professional with a commitment to preventing gambling harm and a passion for policy and evaluation. People with lived experience of gambling harm are encouraged to apply. The position is part time – 2.5 days per week, contracted to June 2019.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Recruit consumers with lived experience of gambling harm to become community educators
- Plan and coordinate community educators to present at community events
- Develop and maintain systems and policies to support the delivery of ReSPIN
The key skills required for this role include:
- Tertiary qualifications in a human services or related field or commensurate work experience
- Previous experience working with consumers on advocacy, anti-stigma or empowerment-based projects
- Demonstrated expertise in the development of policies, procedures and conceptual models
- Demonstrated expertise in researching, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of community programs
- An understanding of the gambling environment and potential harms from gambling
