An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist at Vision Australia you will:
Use a strengths based approach to develop, plan and evaluate Occupational Therapy services/recommendations that reflect the needs and goals of the school, the children and their families.
Provide both individual and group OT intervention programs, to provide clients with maximum independence and the ability to participate in appropriate activities aligned with their choices.
Assess children’s capacity to independently participate learning and education, and play and recreation (in the school setting).
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications
Strong service delivery expertise
High level of communication and organisational and planning skills
A demonstrated understanding of person centred practices
A collaborative approach which ensures you achieve positive client outcomes, and
Ideally an understanding of issues relating to blindness and low vision
