About the role

About the role:

As our Philanthropy Manager, you will support the development and execution of The Benevolent Society’s (TBS) Philanthropy and Impact Investing Strategy enabling us to meet our ambitious revenue objectives.

Working closely with the Director, Philanthropy, you will:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate the annual donor stewardship plan to ensure acquisition, relationship and revenue targets are exceeded
  • Identify, proactively network and manage a portfolio of mid-high value donors / investors and corporations, building deep relationships to encourage long-term and increasing investment in TBS
  • Further build the profile, understanding and knowledge of philanthropy and impact investing across the whole organisation

What you need to succeed?

You will have a tertiary qualification with 5+ years of experience in philanthropy or impact investment field and:

  • Proven track record delivering revenue growth from philanthropy / impact investment; particularly in attracting and retaining high value donors or investors
  • Pragmatic approach with the ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions on limited budgets in line with organisational strategy and business needs
  • A proven ‘doer’ with a strong focus on execution within small, agile teams
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to understand the business to create a better experience
