The Role
This newly created role will lead the development and implementation of nature protection campaigns based on ACF’s change strategy andintegrates advocacy, supporter organising and engagement and public communication.
You will lead a national team including a nature policy analyst and three nature campaigners that design and implement campaigns that address the systemic drivers of species extinction, habitat loss, fragmentation, over-exploitation and ineffective management.
Addressing these systemic drivers will require strategic collaborations with traditional owners to advance culturally appropriate conservation and economic development. The program integrates work previously done in ACF’s Northern Australia and Healthy Ecosystems Programs.
Internal collaboration with the Climate & Energy and Community Organising programs, and Engagement Directorate critical to achieving outcomes consistent with each element of ACF’s theory of change. Collaboration with stakeholders from the environment movement, Indigenous, business, agriculture, union and community sectors are critical components of this role.
Skills Required
You are currently in a senior leadership role within a broad range of either Australian or international campaign or social change organisations.
You have highly developed skills in the development of campaign strategy including conceptual, analytical, planning, execution and evaluation.
Essentially you have the capacity and maturity to grow, lead and develop a team. You also have advanced interpersonal skills and are able to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with community, donors, business and political leaders.
