The Can Too Foundation is a Health Promotion Charity that transforms lives through fun, fitness, friends and fundraising. Beginners and experienced people alike receive professional coaching as part of an inspiring, motivating and empowering team to run marathons, half marathons, 10ks, do ocean swims, triathlons and trail runs and more recently sing in a choir. In return, participants raise valuable funds that go towards funding brilliant, innovative cancer researchers. Can Too has now trained over 13,500 people within Australia and those incredible and passionate people have raised over $18 million to fund over 147 cancer researchers.

Engaging and inspiring individuals and the community to achieve personal health, wellbeing and altruistic goals.
Enabling and assisting fundraising to support innovation in the prevention, care and control of cancer.

About the role

  • 4 or 4.5 days per week in office
  • Based in Woolloomooloo, Sydney
  • Some evening and weekend work

 

The Role

Reporting to the Board you will lead and guide the Can Too Foundation and its small dynamic team to deliver on its vision and mission.

 

  • You will be integral to the development and implementation of strategy, objectives, forecasts, annual operating plans and budget
  • You will be responsible for securing and managing Corporate Partners and other donors to enable Can Too to fund its health promotion programs and enable fundraising to be directed to cancer research
  • You will work closely with our beneficiary partners such as Cure Cancer Australia and the Cancer Council NSW
  • You will work with the Board and team to create innovative revenue streams to support our mission
  • You will be actively living the cultural values of Can Too by participating in our training program such as running, swimming, cycling and singing

 

Skills Required

 

  • Ideally you have worked in the Not for Profit space and have a proven track record of successful executive leadership and in leading and inspiring a small team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to liaise at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven influencing skills to drive new Sponsorships and Centurions
  • Proven presentation skills with an ability to project the objectives and outcomes of Can Too
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills in finance and budgeting
  • Excellent sales, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to create relationships at Board and CEO level through effective networking skills
  • Detail driven and looking to exceed all expectations in management and reporting, by demonstrating integrity, transparency and accountability as a Not for Profit
