Established in 1999, KARI is Australia’s largest Aboriginal foster care agency. In that time, our goal remains focused on two things: ensuring the Aboriginal community has access to culturally-specific foster care services, as well as access to quality, holistic services. Today, KARI is proud to employ over 100 people and has established offices in South West Sydney, Sydney Metro and Western Sydney. We strive to offer a continuum of award-winning services that all begin at general community engagement, move on to models of early intervention and ultimately work to deliver an effective foster care program – all with the end goal of family restoration and preservation.

About the role

KARI already has a number of strong, strategically important partnerships which make a significant difference to the organisation and the communities we serve. We are recruiting a Corporate Partnerships Manager with relevant experience in managing business partnerships to oversee and develop existing partnerships while establishing new ones.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement a robust Partnership Engagement Plan, in accordance with KARI’s current Marketing and Fundraising Strategy, which outlines goals, timetables and strategies for new and existing partnerships.

Identify, secure and foster new partnership opportunities in accordance to funding focus areas.

Develop and maintain a CRM to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of new and existing partnerships.

Managing corporate volunteering and workplace giving initiatives.

Document proposals and contracts, and monitor all partnerships to ensure positive and purposeful activities and stewardship including evaluation and impact assessment of all partnerships.

Work with the Grants Manager and Communications Manager to identify and promote funding focus areas.

Selection Criteria

Highly developed written, oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Proven Sales/Account Management/ Corporate Partnerships experience.

Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and part of a small fundraising team.

Strong interpersonal skills, including building effective relationships, positive interaction and effective problem solving.

Enthusiastic and driven, with strong leadership skills.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families and children.

Interest and passion for the charitable sector.
