About the role

Experienced Major Gifts Manager required, whose entrepreneurial spirit, cross-cultural knowledge, and analytical abilities match their skills in building strong personal ties with donors to raise funds in support of innovative cancer research.

As Major Gift’s Manager, you will have the personal drive and ability to develop a portfolio of prospects and donors and will work to meet multi-year and annual fundraising goals.  This is a key member of the Foundation team and as such will be expected to raise significant funds on an annual basis and work closely with a variety of key-stakeholders, Foundation Board members and Committee members to advance PMCC and major gift philanthropy. You will have experience with the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process in securing major gifts, as well as the ability to draft high quality solicitation proposals and letters.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Demonstration of fundraising experience, and proven success with major gifts fundraising (written and verbal solicitations)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent program reporting and analytical abilities
  • Sound knowledge of using databases, preferably fundraising databases or Raisers Edge
