Unison Housing was formed with the merger of Yarra Community Housing (YCH) and Urban Communities Limited (UCL) in February 2017. Unison has a team of over 130 staff, manages approximately 2,600 tenancies, has an annual operating revenue of over $25 million, owns $300 million in affordable housing properties and has a loan portfolio of $40 million. Unison also supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Western Region of Melbourne. Unison provides housing services across Victoria as well as in Adelaide. These services include: Initial Assessment & Planning, Private Rental Access, Crisis Housing, Transitional Housing, Long term Social, Affordable and Private Housing and Specialist housing models – including Supportive Housing and Youth Foyers

About the role

About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, you will manage Unisons Risk, Compliance, and Reporting, leading a team of two. This role is focused on ensuring that Unison meets its compliance and reporting requirements, implements its risk management strategy, has an effective framework for performance data and organisational policy, and maintains a quality approach.

About you:
To fill this position, we are seeking a self-motivated person with a demonstrated commitment to social justice and to the empowerment of disadvantaged members of the community. The successful candidate will have qualifications and/or experience in reporting and compliance, and a passion for working with data. A mix of project management, stakeholder management, and superior communication skills are a must.

On offer:
The remuneration package includes a salary of $95.000, plus, superannuation and salary packaging. Unison provides a flexible, supportive and family friendly work environment including 5 weeks annual leave and 17.5% leave loading.
