We champion the vital role community housing industry plays in increasing the supply of secure rental housing and provide resources, training and research to build the capacity and professionalism of the sector. 

About the role

Work Type : 30.4 hours a week (can be worked over four or five days)

Grab the opportunity to have an impact on Victoria’s housing affordability crisis in this challenging role as a policy and projects manager for the Community Housing Federation of Victoria (CHFV).

 

Where you come in:

In this part-time role, you will play a critical role in policy development, project management and advocacy for the community housing industry body. You will be working closely with our member organisations, government and other stakeholders to develop, promote and represent the sector.

What we are looking for:

You are experienced in social policy with a proven ability to analyse and develop policy, produce high-quality submissions, reports and position papers. You have some knowledge and a passion for housing and the role of local, state and federal governments in its provision. You understand how the planning system may be developed to provide more affordable housing. Importantly, you can manage multiple competing priorities and are happy to assist others within our small team when needed – and with a smile. 

This role requires:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a social policy rolewith a proven ability to analyse and develop policy, produce high quality submissions, reports and position papers and effectively influence policy debates.
  2. Demonstrated experience in project management and advocacy
  3. Proven track record in establishing a profile and influence within a relevant/associated sector
