About the organisation

Organisation Name : Corrections Victoria
This is a great time to join Corrections Victoria. Corrections Victoria is expanding its Allied Health workforce to deliver behavioural intervention programs to improve outcomes for offenders and the community. Our clinicians are committed to working with forensic populations towards behaviour change by balancing clinical and community risk considerations. Our Offending Behaviour Programs (OBP) division provides targeted interventions to offenders across public prisons and Community Correctional Services. All interventions aim to reduce offender's risk of re-offending utilising a best practice framework. Using a strong cognitive-behavioural approach, interventions range from intensive therapeutic group programs to shorter psycho-educational programs, and individual intervention where required. Our Specialised Offender Assessment & Treatment Service (SOATS) division is responsible for providing an integrated system of assessment, management and intervention to offenders with a view to reducing the risk of sexual and violent reoffending. SOATS provides specialised assessment and therapeutic intervention to convicted sexual and violent offenders, including those with a cognitive impairment.
