The Bridge is a vital part of our local community in Darebin and its mission is to assist community to increase independence, overcome disadvantage & social exclusion, and break the cycle of poverty by skill development, education, social interaction and direct services. Our activities cover a range of services designed to improve quality of life, educate our children, provide quality training, connect people with their community, promote health and wellbeing, support volunteering, work with other services and support a multi cultural society.The Bridge is a community based management model with skilled volunteers on our Board of Management. We are entering an exciting phase of the organisation with record growth and opportunities.

About the role

Your relevant tertiary qualifications and several years of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement and/or public relations will enable you to hit the ground running in this role.

As updating our websites and social media platforms is a vital part of the role, you’ll need experience at managing web content (knowledge of WordPress would be ideal), as well as using Facebook and Instagram for stakeholder engagement. Design skills and knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop is ideal, as well as experience at maintaining databases and use of online research tools.

It goes without saying that you’ll need fantastic writing skills and enjoy multitasking! If you have experience in the not-for-profit sector that would be a bonus but isn’t essential.
