We have an exciting opportunity to deliver programs and services in the new men's prison, Ravenhall Correctional Centre (RCC), opening in late 2017 in Melbourne’s west. This is a unique opportunity to provide vital education programs to men who are working towards meaningful reintegration back into the community. Ravenhall Correctional Centre is based on the Good Lives Model, which has an ethical basis in human rights, and recognizes that the best way to reduce re-offending is to support and enhance the capabilities and well-being of men in prison. The MCM programs will include employment and education, family services, parenting and life skills programs as well as pre and post release case management support. In this role, you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals working towards a common goal of providing programs and services that will help men improve their lives and their community.

About the role

About the role
The purpose of this role is to deliver the Certificate II in Printing and Graphic Arts. Ravenhall has a new Printing and Graphic arts industry on site, and men who complete this Certificate will be able to go on to work within the Centre, with the aim of having qualifications and practical experience upon release.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Delivering classroom/program curriculum at Ravenhall CC ensuring:
o All necessary registration and delivery requirements are met.
o All necessary enrolments and registration processes are followed.
o Students are well engaged with classroom delivery.
• Contributing to referral, enrolment and exit processes with education support employees and in consultation with Hester Hornbrook Academy management.
• Ensuring all relevant classroom/program records are maintained, reports developed (including student reports and program reports) and presented to the Hester Hornbook Academy Team Leader as requested.
